No New ‘Tomb Raider’ Content at E3 2017?

Tomb Raider fans expecting to see a preview of Lara Croft’s next adventure at E3 2017 may be in for a disappointment. According to Crystal Dynamics Senior Community Manager Meagan Marie, this “will be a quiet E3 for Lara, but we’re looking forward to catching up on her new adventure later this year”. It’s unclear if this means there’ll be absolutely no new content on show at E3 (perhaps we’ll get a title and/or release date), but all I can say ... [Continue Reading]

Rise of the Tomb Raider – E3 Gameplay Reveal Video & Screenshots

After what has felt like centuries of waiting, Tomb Raider fans finally got their first glimpse of Rise of the Tomb Raider gameplay at today’s Xbox E3 briefing. It’s been a year since a sequel to the best-selling Tomb Raider 2013 was announced and it’s only in the past few weeks that the Rise of the Tomb Raider marketing campaign has really begun to hit its stride. Pegged for a November 10th release date, I suspect we’ll be seeing plenty more gameplay demos, ... [Continue Reading]

What to Expect at E3 2015

E3 2015 opens in less than 2 weeks and the Tomb Raider fan community is already buzzing with excitement. Earlier this week, Xbox and Crystal Dynamics released a short CGI teaser trailer to whet the fanbase’s appetite while visitors to the game’s official Xbox page were invited to look for clues hidden across the page. These clues were little tidbits of information about the game’s plot and primary antagonists, narrated by Lara (Camilla Luddington) herself. You can find ... [Continue Reading]

The Book of Secrets: What the Mystery Book in Tomb Raider’s Final Scene Spells for the Future of the Series

Ever since eagle-eyed gamers spotted the word “Croatoan” written in the book seen in Tomb Raider 2013’s closing scene, there has been a lot of speculation as to what this may mean for the future of the Tomb Raider series. Were the development team hinting at the storyline or location for the next game, perhaps a mission to find the Lost Colony of Roanoke? Were there any other clues to Lara’s next adventure scribbled across the pages visible in the closing scene? ... [Continue Reading]

Lara Croft & the Quest for Eternal Life

In Game Informer’s latest online feature, Raiders of the Lost City – Lara’s Search for Immortality, we learnt that Lara will be searching for the lost city of Kitezh in her upcoming adventure and that her experiences on Yamatai the previous year have sparked off an almost unhealthy obsession with immortality myths. But what triggered this obsession in Lara? And why did Crystal Dynamics choose to set their latest game, Rise of the Tomb Raider, in Siberia? Here’s an ... [Continue Reading]
