Tomb Raided – Issue 4

Another week, another issue of Tomb Raided. And what a busy week it’s been. Not just here at The Archaeology of Tomb Raider but all over the TR fan community. The TR fan community is nothing if not dedicated.. 🙂

Guns & Grapple Interviews Camilla d’Errico

Guns & Grapple admin Jaden Morretti has published an exclusive interview with Camilla d’Errico, the artist behind “The Depths”, a piece that was inspired by the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot.

“The Depths” was one of the artworks that was spotlighted during the Tomb Raider 15th Anniversary celebrations back in 2012 and it remains a fan favourite. You can learn more about d’Errico’s work and her thoughts on the TR franchise by reading the interview over at Guns & Grapple!



Punished Props Builds Replica of “Rise of the Tomb Raider” Bow

Bill Doran from Punished Props has built a replica of the wooden bow from Rise of the Tomb Raider. Check out the video below to see how he constructed his replica bow and find out what tools and material he used to create it.

Cosplayers, there’s a treasure trove of information on creating replica props and costumes from other game franchises over on the Punished Props site so be sure to browse through its archives.



The Mental Attic Takes on “Angel of Darkness”

Kevin K, the blogger behind The Mental Attic, has begun his playthrough of one of his least favourite Tomb Raider games, Angel of Darkness.

Inna-Vjuzhanina Shares A New Tomb Raider Sketch

TR fan artist Inna V has published another of her amazing TR-inspired sketches over on her DeviantArt page. This time around, she’s gone for a jungle theme.

José Pays Tribute to Tomb Raider 3’s Kayak Sections

As part of his special #ThrowbackThursday series, TR fan and friend José C created this sketch to pay tribute to (and mock) the kayak from Tomb Raider 3’s South Pacific levels.
