With just over a month until this year’s Extra Life charity gaming marathon, I thought it was time for a quick update on my and Team Tomb Raider Community’s fundraising efforts. Thanks to several generous donors, I’ve moved a few steps closer to reaching my target.
Here’s an overview of the money the team and I have raised since we kicked off our fundraising efforts earlier this summer.
So far, I’ve raised 26% of my target while Team Tomb Raider Community (which is currently 19 members strong) has raised a total of $861 in the space of a few weeks. Despite all this, I still need your help to meet my target fundraising goal of $250…
How To Help:
- Donate! – The easiest way to help out is to donate some money via my fundraising page. Every dollar counts and all the proceeds will go to my chosen charity, the Children’s National Medical Centre in Washington, DC. You can read more about the hospital and its domestic and international health programmes here. And did I mention that donors will be eligible for a range of perks? Full details can be found on my dedicated Extra Life 2014 page.
- Share – Help spread the word about this charity gaming marathon and our fundraising efforts by sharing this article and/or my Extra Life 2014 page on your blog, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, or other social media sites. You’re also welcome to read and share Stella’s Extra Life FAQ article.
- Tune In! – I’ll be streaming some of my gaming on my Twitch channel throughout the weekend of 25th and 26th October 2014 so feel free to tune in. Extra Life isn’t just about raising money for sick children (although that’s certainly the ultimate goal); it’s also a celebration of gaming and gamer communities. Let’s show the world how the Tomb Raider fan community can come together to raise money and awareness for a worthy cause!
