UPDATE: The game now has an official launch date, 9th December 2014, and Square Enix have confirmed that it will be available for the PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One only. A number of gameplay demos can be found over on IGN’s website.

If the announcement about the follow-up to Tomb Raider 2013 wasn’t enough, you’ll be glad to hear that Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix will also be releasing a sequel to the popular co-op game, Lara Croft & the Guardian of Light in the not-too-distant future!

Lara Croft & the Temple of Osiris will feature an Egypt-centric storyline

The Egypt-centric Lara Croft & the Temple of Osiris will allow up to 4 players to explore the “forsaken” Temple of Osiris together, solving brain-teasing puzzles, dodging deadly traps and defeating monstruous enemies from the ancient Egyptian underworld in their bid to resurrect Osiris, the only god who can help them defeat his evil brother Set, god of chaos. Joining Lara this time are the Egyptian gods Horus and Isis and a rival archaeologist by the name of Carter Bell.
